Three of Westmoore's own Speech and Debate students are heading to The Stars Fell on Alabama Nationals in Birmingham, Alabama, June 14-19, 2009.
Brett Young, Speech and Debate teacher, has asked Westmoore Alumni to help the students to get to Alabama by helping to pay their hotel costs.

The Westmoore Alumni Association will be holding its first-ever Alumni Hall of Honor Banquet the evening of March 28 at WHS. Proceeds from this event will fund scholarships for graduating Westmoore seniors.

The 2008-2009 Westmoore baseball players, coaches, and booster club would like to cordially invite you to our inaugural Alumni weekend October 24-25, 2008. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 24th, we will host an alumni baseball game at the Jaguar baseball facility. The game will feature even year graduates facing off against odd year graduates. The cost for each player will be $10; this will be used to defray the cost of insurance. The booster club will be on hand to sell drinks for $1 and fitted Westmoore hats for $10. All alumni and family members are welcome to attend and enjoy this evening of fun. We will also have our new clubhouse open for everyone to walk through and see the exciting improvements being made at our facility. The game will conclude at 9:00 p.m.
On Saturday, October 25th, the booster club will conduct a 4 man golf scramble at Earlywine Golf Course. This event is a fundraiser for our baseball program to aid in buying uniforms, making improvements to our field and indoor facility, feeding the boys during tournaments, and helping to pay for our varsity spring break trip to Tennessee and Texas. The tournament will begin at 12:00, and the cost is $60 per person. The enclosed flyer contains additional information about the golf tournament. It is our hope that you and your friends and teammates will get together, enter a team, and join us on this day for more fun and camaraderie.
It is our plan to make this event a yearly occurrence that coincides with our 7 game series that concludes our fall training camp. We are attempting to reach as many of our former players as possible, but we need your help. If you know how to reach your former teammates, please pass along the information in this letter to them or contact us so we can get a letter to them. The success of this weekend depends on you and your teammates. It is our desire to build a link between the past and the present of Jaguar baseball. Our current players and coaches are excited to welcome back all of the former players and coaches to reminisce about the past and build for the future of Westmoore baseball. If you are interested in playing in the golf tournament, please see the enclosed flyer for contact information. We are currently accepting nominations for the first ever inductees into the Westmoore Hall of Honor. We will hold a special banquet in honor of the honorees in February.

There's a new school in town. The Alumni Association will be there Friday, September 12 as Southmoore learns that Westmoore is STILL THE BESTMOORE!
Join the Westmoore Alumni Association prior to the game to Chow Down Before the Southwest Showdown. We will be serving a hot dog dinner on the steps of the Frederick Sports Complex from 6 pm until kickoff. Cost is $5. Proceeds from Chow Down Before the Southwest Showdown benefit the Westmoore Alumni Association so that we may provide scholarships.

Alumni Hall of Fame
In Westmoore's 20 year history, thousands of individuals have worn the silver, red and black. Too many Jaguars to count have continued on a path of excellence in their chosen field.
Next February, the Westmoore Alumni Association will host a banquet to honor two of them as the first inductees into Westmoore's Alumni Hall of Fame. Proceeds from this banquet will provide scholarships to graduating seniors. A Westmoore alum who is teaching in the Moore Public Schools will be selected to receive a professional development stipend.

Members of the Class of 1998 are eligible for $10 off a one year membership. When completing a membership application, let us know you are from the Class of 1998. A coupon will also be included with reunion packets.

We are in the very beginning stages of planning a Hall of Honor Gala that will recognize Distinguished WHS Grads. The proceeds will provide scholarships. We will be discussing that event.
